Simeon is a Business Management specialist with focus on Organisational Effectiveness. He was educated at Auchi Polytechnic,Auchi, University of Lagos, Akoka, and Lagos State University, Ojo. He holds HND (Bldg/Civil Eng), B.Sc(Business Admin.),MBA (HRM) and M.Phil./Ph.D. (Business Admin.).  He was also a Research Fellow / Visiting Lecturer at Swansea University, Swansea, UK.

Dr.Ifere has extensive industry experience, which includes 25 years in two multinationals. Prior to becoming a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration of the University of Lagos, he worked for Elf Oil, rising to become a senior manager and head of Supply and Distribution department. After the merger of Elf and Total groups in Nigeria in 2001, he worked for Total in various senior management positions and retired as Operations Consultant.

Since leaving Total Nigeria Plc. to pursue his interest in consultancy and academics, hehas carried out significant operations and turnaround management activities in the petroleum industry. In particular, he was Operations Consultant to Oando Plc.,and turnaround management consultant to the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN),Pinnacle Oil and Gas Ltd, Masters Energy Oil and Gas Ltd,among others organisations. He has conducted research in Entrepreneurship, Organisational Effectiveness and Strategic Management,and supervised over fifty postgraduate theses.

He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management (FNIM), Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), Member of The Academy of Management Nigeria, and Member Academy of International Business.

 He has authored and co-authored several published articles in reputable local and international journals.
