Professor Tajudeen Olalekan Yusuf is the pioneer Professor of Insurance and Risk Management at the University of Lagos and a leading authority in Islamic Banking, Non-Interest Finance, and Social Finance in Africa.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and an MBA from the University of Lagos. Following a successful corporate career, he earned a Master’s degree in International Management, Banking and Finance with Distinction from Loughborough University (UK), followed by a Ph.D. in Insurance and Risk Management from the prestigious Nottingham University Business School, UK.
Professor Yusuf is a Fellow of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (FIFP), Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management (FCILRM), and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), London. He coordinates the Executive Master of Non-Interest Finance (EMNIF) at ULBS.
