Objectives
The specific objectives of the EMULTM programme include:
- Engendering an environment that inspires innovative problem solving among students with the support of experienced academics and industry practitioners.
- Enabling logisticians and transport managers to develop sustainable transport and logistics policies.
- Enhancing the students with the thinking capacity with clarity and develop feasible solutions for issues of logistics, transport organization, community and society.
- Exposing students to the knowledge, skills and attributes required for effective management and leadership beyond the workplace.
Intended Learning Outcomes:
The programme seeks to produce:
- Specialists to metamorphose efficiency/economic status-quo to urban structure and the environment with a view to improving the level-of-service of the urban freight transport systems.
- Urban transport planners to mitigate negative impacts of transport, notably freight transport on urban environment.
- Active participants, who will enforce truck restraints so that public transit modes would not compete for limited road space in line with the Lagos State Road Traffic Law of 2012.
- Agents of remedial measures involving transport planning and logistics, within the framework of city logistics.
- Urban transport policy makers equipped with the in-depth knowledge of managing the transport system and its operation with the urban environment.
Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, a candidate is required to satisfy any of the following requirements:
- An Honours Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from the University of Lagos or other approved Universities.
- HND with a minimum of credit in any discipline from an approved institution with a minimum of 5 years work experience.
Graduation Requirements
Duration of Programme: The programme will run for a minimum of three (3) semesters or a maximum of six (6) semesters.
Minimum number of earned credit hours:
To qualify for the award of Masters of Urban Logistics and Transport Management, candidates must offer and pass a minimum of 36 units, which include all the 30 units of compulsory courses and minimum of 6 units of elective courses:

- Minimum CGPA of 2.40 requirement as stipulated by the University of Lagos Business School.
