Dr. Wura Abiola

Wura Abiola is a Senior Lecturer (Adjunct) at the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS). She is an Organisational Development specialist covering Organisational Behaviour, Strategy & Policy and Leadership. Wura was educated at University of San Francisco (summa cum laude) and Imperial College, London University. She holds a B.Sc. (Accounting), MBA (in the Management of Innovation and Technology) and Ph.D. (Organisational Behaviour).

Dr. Abiola has extensive industry experience having consulted for multilateral agencies, national regulators, large corporate organisations and start-ups/SMEs.  She joined McKinsey & Co. in 1996 (New York and then London) as a management consultant and worked primarily in the areas of Strategy and Organisation for the financial and health sectors.  She is the founder and Managing Director of Management Transformation Ltd (MT), a pan-African strategic management consulting firm, serving clients across Africa in the areas of organisational development, corporate strategy, energy sector policy and financial sector transformation since 1999.

Wura has authored papers and journal articles on Organisational Development topics and her sectors of coverage.  She has supervised many masters and postgraduate theses.

Wura served on the Nigeria Financial Sector Strategy (FSS) 2020 Subcommittee on Human Capital Development Strategy and is a member of the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN) Research, Strategy and Advocacy Committee. Wura is an independent non-executive director on the Board of Beta Glass Nigeria PLC, Chairman of Nibra Designs Limited and a Resident Advisor for the Unicorn Investment Group.  She also holds board seats in family businesses.
