Mr. Bode Agusto

Bode Agusto is a chartered accountant. He was an Assistant Vice President in Citibank Nigeria, a Partner in PwC, the founding CEO of Agusto & Co. Limited and Director-General & Adviser (Budget Matters) to President Obasanjo during his second term in office. He was also a non-Executive Director of the National Pension Commission (PenCom) and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

 

He is currently an independent researcher/consultant. His research interests cover the politics, economics, banking and value creation for shareholders in the key economies in sub-Saharan Africa. He is also a non-Executive Director of Agusto & Co. Ltd and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.

Bode holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, a Certificate of Professional Development in Finance & Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, an Executive Certificate in Strategy & Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and  is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

 

In 2002, President Obasanjo invested him as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) for his contributions to the Nigerian economy.
