Dr. Akindele is an astute investment professional with over 25 years in banking, private equity, and corporate finance. He has managed, raised and advised transactions in excess of $5 billion. Prior to joining the board of Koniku, Dr. Akintoye Akindele was on the boards of companies across multiple industries. Dr. Akintoye Akindele, DBA, CFA is the Chairman of Platform Capital; Chairman of Unicorn; CEO & Chairman of Diatom Impact; and is the founder of Synergy Capital; where he was Managing Partner till November 2019. Dr. Akindele is also a faculty member at the University of Lagos Business School where he lectures on entrepreneurship and finance.

Dr. Akindele completed his tertiary education in Nigeria, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with honours from the Obafemi Awolowo University. He received a doctorate degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the International School of Management – Paris, France.
